About Us

Aaron and I met in a college geology class in September of 1995 and were set up on a "blind" date by my roommate (after I encouraged her to)!

We quickly found that we liked each other a lot more than the rocks we were supposed to be studying and spent the next seven months dating and spending every minute together.  We soon knew we loved each other and never wanted to be apart. Aaron proposed in June of 1996 in a beautifully landscaped garden.  He pulled the ring out to propose at the exact moment the sprinklers came on and sent us heading for dry ground!

We were married on August 23, 1996 - the best day of our lives!  We have been married for seventeen years.  We are best friends and would rather spend time with each other (and our children) than anyone else.

Aaron has a B.S. degree in Construction Management and is a project manager and salesman for a construction company.  Julie's B.S. degree is in Family Science and she uses it every day as she is blessed to be able to be a stay at home mother.

Both of us have a strong belief that the most important and fulfilling thing we will ever do is to become parents and raise our children to reach their full potential.  Being able to finally have children (through the miracle of IVF) after many years of infertility has been the greatest blessing of our lives.

We feel like our family is not yet complete. After two additional IVF procedures, which both ended in miscarriage, we feel that adoption will be the answer to our prayers.

Our greatest source of happiness comes from spending time together with our children.

We love to be out in nature together.  We enjoy boating, fishing, hiking, camping and picnicking.  We have also had a great time this year swimming at the water park, miniature golfing, bowling, visiting amusement parks (who knew Big Sister would be such an adrenaline junkie?), going to movies, and visiting all our grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins!  We like going on walks and bike rides in our neighborhood and playing games outside in the yard.

Our children are thrilled with our plans to adopt.  They are wonderful kids and such great siblings.
